I have found that I'm better able to handle allergies without meds than with them now I've been without them for some time, but cannabis sometimes still mimics allergy symptoms from time to time.
I agree, but that can be a good thing. I find now that I smoke it regularly esp. during the pollen season, I too have less reactions to pollen than before. I think its the effects of the cannabis. Especially if I build up a little tolerance, I would hardly ever need over the counter meds. Certain varieties of indicas seem better for this. The sativas are too intense and less medicinal, but I use them to control the tolerance.
It's like having a little of what's killing you, which is what the so-called allergist does, with his more noxious potions.

Sounds bad. I'm sure it can happen. Pain in your back, that could be from your lungs. I noticed that using a vapourizer would make me react, but not with a regular pipe or a joint. Somehow burning it hotter changed the chemical properties, so I wouldn't react. Thats the same for me when it comes to eating raw foods, I get an immune response sometimes, but not if I cook it.
If your allergic to grass, and I mean the lawn-stuff, or rag-weed, no reason to doubt your response is due to the pot. Make sure its clean weed though, not chemically treated with pesticides.
Get the shots for ragweed hayfever, takes a few years but it helped me

Have you ever heard of peoples not able to smoke weed because they over react, like being alergic to it? Because i have been smoking weed for a few years and suddently i am not able anymore because when i do, i choke, my back hurts bad, it feels like i'm gonna puke and it seems like i'm gonna die. And this thing happens for any kind of weed or hash. So if someone knows about it, please let me know.
thanks

I have had similar symptoms and wondered what was up. I knew where the weed came from and who grew it so it was not chemicals causing the negative effects. As far as I could figure it was the strain, which was very heady almost to the point of dizzying with almost no body causing the discomfort. Eventhough the intital high is great, I've found that some intense sativa dominant hybrids give me a great soaring high at first and then settle in with side effects such as aches & pains and a dizzy sort of nausea. Seems the intensity takes its toll on the body and without a nice body massage buzz to even it out the high can be uncomfortable at times. You might try switching to something more indica dominant and see what happens. Cannabis is strong medicine that effects us all differently to some extent, and as with any strong medicine, may come with undesireable side-effects. Unlike conventional medications cannabis comes in many different types with just as many different effects and I have faith that there is a strain for everyone.
