Do you really believe if you get heroin by prescription it wont be on the black market?

Why would you trust your Government to supply heroin to the population?

If your prescribed heroin turned up in the hands of minors then you got to go to the clinic to get your shots. No more take it home on your own time. If you read the post above they, the clinics are doing this with methadone already.

Would I want my government to supply Heroin? Are you sure they don't? Would the operation that covered the bomb for the Lockerbie flight 103 count? One of the retired CIA that always leak crap to Penthouse said the bomb may have been smuggled onto the jet without going through customs as part of a regular heroin smuggling operation connected to the CIA.

So I would rather they did it above board instead of doing like the Cubans and crack.

If you intend to ask, yes, they can track every hit of any drug or cigarette, if they want to. But if we do that with marijuana and then heroin, soon people will want to know why tobacco and drink aren't tracked as well. And that would put a lot of those good buddies out of business, as they should have been 30 years ago, when the politicos' allowed them to continue to sell tobacco while they diversified their stock holdings.

So yes I think it can be sold in such a way as not to end up on the blackmarket.

Am I right about your finances? Will you loose out big time if drugs no longer has free police enforcement of the drug companies policies? From the stuff you've written I can't see you out there swinging a hammer or shovel. Are you one of those administraters that work in health care or insurance?

Just remember that to continue as we are is to give drugs to children as is happening now. If you were to give the death penalty for heroin it would still be there, but cops will be watching their backs alot more than now.

Cocaine started out as a prescription drug look how well that worked out.

Drug syndicate broken in $160m cocaine bust
AAP
September 21, 2006
FEDERAL police believe a major international drug syndicate has been smashed following one of Australia's biggest cocaine busts.

Authorities arrested six men and seized more than 135kg of cocaine and an estimated 120,000 ecstasy tablets, hidden inside a shipment of computer monitors from Canada. The total street value of the drug haul is believed to be more than $162 million.

Five men were last night arrested at various locations across Brisbane after allegedly attempting to access the computers at a warehouse in Geebung in the city's north.

The alleged recipient of the drug haul - the biggest ever in Queensland and the fifth largest in Australian history - was arrested at Darling Point in Sydney.

Father-of-three Dennis Paul Paddison, 29, Dereck Hotner, 36, Dale Christopher Handlen, 39, Kelsey James Nerbas, 27, and Matthew Thomas Reed, 25 - all Canadians - today faced the Brisbane Magistrates' Court.

Hotner was granted bail on a $100,000 surety with strict reporting conditions.

Paddison's and Nerbas's applications were refused because of fears they could abscond. Reed and Handlen did not apply for bail. The five men will reappear in the same court on November 10.

David Shen, 62, of Darling Point, appeared in Sydney Local Court and was refused bail ahead of his next court appearance on September 27.

All six were charged with the importation of cocaine, which incurs a maximum penalty of an $825,000 fine or life imprisonment.

In Brisbane Magistrates' Court, prosecutor Paul Huygens alleged Hotner and Paddison packed the drugs into a container carrying 420 old computer monitors and flew to Brisbane on September 4 with the intention of unpacking the drugs.

The shipment was allegedly intended for a company set up by Reed and Nerbas in April.

But their plan was thwarted when a customs official, questioning why hundreds of old computer monitors were being shipped half-way across the globe, arranged an X-ray inspection of the container in Brisbane on September 8.

Thirty-three of the monitors contained 136 sealed packs of cocaine and 36 packs of ecstasy tablets.

It was the second major consignment of illegal drugs imported from Canada to be intercepted in the last four months.

Australian Federal Police National Manager Border and International Network, Mike Phelan, said authorities had infiltrated a sophisticated drug syndicate.

"We are extremely confident ... (we have) has closed down a very significant international crime syndicate," agent Phelan said.

"We are looking at purity just above 70 per cent which is pure import grade cocaine, so if we were to cut that say twice you're looking at a street value with $250 a gram, you're looking at a street value in excess of a $100 million."

Mr Phelan said the drugs were substituted with an inert substance and the men's movements tracked.

Following the arrests, AFP agents raided four Brisbane properties, as well as properties on the Gold Coast and Sydney. What the raids allegedly netted was not revealed.

Mr Phelan said authorities were working closely with the Canadian police. "There is a possibility of further action being taken over in Canada," he said.

"Cocaine of course is sourced from South America so Canada would be a transit point for the cocaine."

Mr Phelan said the six men all allegedly had different roles to play in the foiled importation, but that authorities were "very pleased" with the arrest of the Sydney man.

"It was a significant target for us ... (this) distribution network has been around for a long time and we will be alleging this person is a significant player within this syndicate."

Do you really believe if you get heroin by prescription it wont be on the black market?

Why would you trust your Government to supply heroin to the population?

When you have a large number of people willing to blame something else for their poor judgement which only justifies a world of wrong doing on their part , you gonna have a shitload of people strung out. Heroin addiction is a culture and a lifestyle. From the above article , you can see that Methadone which government allowed addicts to take out of the clinic is winding up in the hands of others , being traded for other drugs or sold to buy skag for some extra fun. Methadone withdrawal is no picnic ; rumor has it Methadone withdrawal is even a bigger bitch to some . The only sure fire way to kick Heroin is to get clean and get as far from a supply of Heroin as you can. Sound impossible?
It isn`t . Of course , you might have to put up with a lot of pain for quite a while , but that is the most effective treatment available.
Actually , there is no justification for Heroin because ol` Morphine is just as effective under a doctor`s supervision.Terminally ill patients are often given a button that doses them with Morphine ; allowing enough interval to prevent overdose. In my opinion , lethal injection with Heroin is the only truly practical use for "Devil Powder." You go to slep and never wake up.
But we have Sodium Pentathol that works even faster , so never mind.
Let us hear the conclusion of the matter. All you need to do is prove that Heroin abuse is justification for government to step in and dole out Opioids to hypes.Your response is going to include the words "safe , clean , pure
harmless and other benevolent descriptions. Forget it. Put us in reality ; which is that accepting addicts` behavior is only going to create more addicts. There are just far too many of us willing to take the easy way out by getting comfortably numb.Watch "The Wall", the movie about "Pink" and remember not to watch this flick when tripping on Acid ;it has led to many bad trips because it confronts us with the pain of life.

"Cocaine started out as a prescription drug look how well that worked out."

Cocaine started out as coca leaf - essentially a problem-free herb.

The problems really began AFTER cocaine was prohibited.

"The coca leaf

South American indigenous peoples have chewed the coca leaf (Erythroxylum coca), a plant that contains vital nutrients as well as numerous alkaloids, including cocaine. The leaf was, and is, chewed almost universally by some indigenous communities—ancient Peruvian mummies have been found with the remains of coca leaves, and pottery from the time period depicts humans whose cheeks are bulged with the presence of something on which they are chewing.[3]However, it should be noted that there is no evidence that its habitual use has ever led to any of the negative consequences generally associated with habitual cocaine use today."

...

Mate de coca or coca-leaf tea is also a traditional method of consumption and is often recommended to treat altitude sickness. This method of consumption has been practiced for thousands of years by South American natives. One specific purpose of ancient coca leaf consumption was to increase energy and reduce fatigue in messengers who made multi-day quests to other settlements.

In 1986 an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association revealed that health food stores were selling coca-leaf tea as “Health Inca Tea.” [14] While the packaging claimed it had been “decocainized,” no such process had taken place—they were selling a controlled substance off the shelves. The article stated that drinking two cups of the tea per day gave a mild stimulation, increased heart rate, and mood elevation, and the tea was essentially harmless. Despite this, the DEA seized several shipments in Hawaii, Chicago, Illinois, Georgia, and several locations on the East Coast of the United States, and the product was removed from the shelves.

...

Coca herbal tea has been used for the treatment of cocaine dependence. In one study, coca tea was used—in addition to counseling—to treat 23 addicted coca-paste smokers in Lima, Peru. Relapses fell from an average of 4.35 times per month before treatment with coca tea to 1.22 during the treatment. Abstinence length increased from an average of 32 days prior to treatment to 217.2 days during treatment. These results suggest that coca tea is an effective method for preventing relapse during treatment for cocaine addiction.

....

Mass media created an epidemic of cocaine use among African Americans in the Southern United States to play upon racial prejudices of the era, though there is little evidence that such an epidemic actually took place.

In the United Kingdom heroin is available on prescription, though it is a restricted Class A drug. According to the British National Formulary (BNF) edition 50, diamorphine hydrochloride may be used in the treatment of acute pain, myocardial infarction, acute pulmonary edema, and chronic pain. The treatment of chronic non-malignant pain must be supervised by a specialist. The BNF notes that all opioid analgesics cause dependence and tolerance but that this is "no deterrent in the control of pain in terminal illness". When used in the palliative care of cancer patients, heroin is often injected using a syringe driver. In comparison to morphine, it may cause less nausea, hypotension, sedation, euphoria and can be dissolved in a smaller quantity of liquid.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress and model Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel Smith, died of a lethal combination of drugs that caused an irregular heart beat, People Magazine reported on its Web site on Wednesday.

The report quoted pathologist Cyril Wecht, who was hired by Smith to look into her son's September 10 death, as saying Daniel Smith died from a combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro that led to cardiac dysrhythmia.

People Magazine said Wecht got the results of toxicology tests from National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania

Daniel Smith, 20, died while visiting his mother in a hospital in the Bahamas where she had given birth to a baby girl. His death has been shrouded in mystery since then.

The People magazine report could not be immediately confirmed, and official autopsy and toxicology reports are being withheld until an October 23 inquest.

Another truth I do know is that most addicts become garbage drug addicts. This means they are subject to take any number of combinations of drugs because it`s just part and parcel of being strung out. Add a little too much of something , and you dead.

None of your sources have ever advanced an opinion as to how effectivly their programs keep drugs off the street.
They do not keep drugs and addicts off the street. They simply create two classes of drug abuse ; and more than a few too many corpses laying around that never should have died , except that someone gave them some Methadone or rat poison.
This Methadone death increase is not a new thing. Methadone is just as tricky as Heroin when it comes to arriving at the proper dose that won`t kill you.

"None of your sources have ever advanced an opinion as to how effectivly their programs keep drugs off the street."

If heroin maintenance was expanded to the size of the market, the black market would be removed completely - pharmacists don't have the same security cocerns as gangsters, which results in a smaller mark-up, which would result in the pharmacists getting all the business and the gangsters getting none (similar to the end of alcohol prohibition).

Besides, the main goal of harm reduction is to reduce harm to the user, not to "remove all drugs from the street" (if there's no such thing as a drug-free jail, how are you going to create a drug-free street??????)

"They do not keep drugs and addicts off the street."

"For those who remained in the Swiss studies for 18 months, the number of homeless participants reduced from 12% at entry to 1% at 18 months."

Try bothering to read something some day, will ya? - the above info was taken from a link from the Wikipedia page on harm reduction I posted like 20 times or so:

"Coca does not harm human health," he told IPS, citing a study by Harvard University which he said concluded that coca leaf "is the best food in the world. They (researchers) not only recommend chewing it, but eating it."

In the 1975 study, Harvard researchers noted that while an eight-ounce glass of milk has about 300 milligrammes of calcium, a 3.5-ounce coca leaf contains 1,540 milligrammes of calcium. http://ipsnews.net/news.asp?idnews=34821

2,4 D sprayed from a converted C130 before the seed pods develop. Identifying Heroin labs and destroying them and the cooks using JDAM ordnance.Fight the war on the supplies and not US citizens not actively involved in drug production or transport. Increaseing border security with the intent to sttop people crossing illegally into the US.
Ye ol` Patriot Act has already made it much harder to smuggle drugs aboard airliners in quantity.
Allow stupid people to continue shooting up ; just do not enable them in any way. The next thing someone could consider special is Pedophilia , citing it as an exhillarating pastime and part of the natural order of the species. After several years , congress decriminalizes Pedophilia , and the president signs the bill. Now we are free to fuck someone up.
