I'm starting this thread to assist anyone that would like to apply for a legal medical marijuana exemption. I CAN NOT provide you with a doctor but I can guide you through the process, along with suppling the necessary paperwork that is needed to apply. Anyone in Canada that has a disease or illness that requires Medical Marijuana should apply. I will do my best to check this thread regularly, you can PM me or e-mail (raineydays@dccnet.com) me as well.
Love and Soul ,Michy

Glad to see Crohn's disease is getting some attention. I've had it for 4 years ( since i was 14, now im 18) and my mom had it until she died from it when coincidently i was 14. When i was first diagnosed with it the doctors had me on all sorts of bull shit medicine and none of it seemed to help.

I then turned to alternative methods when i was 16. At the time i was 240 pounds, but i started to eat a little bit healtier exercise a little bit more, take viatims, stopped taking their crap, and of course started smoking marijuana. Since then i've lost 80 pounds and am in the best shape of my life. (10% body fat, 6 pack abs, no crohns symptoms) all thanks in my mind to will power and marijuana.
Unfortunatly i live in America and, even more in Kansas ( up with Utah on conservatism)and marijuana is frowned upon ( to put it lightly). So i know i won't be able to get medicnal marijuana but i thought this story would kinda be a testament to the benefits of marijuana, life style change, and the doctors shitty synthetic "medicine"

Wow! I appreciate your story and wish I could give you a big hug. 18 and so aware of yourself and body, such courage. Your mother never should have died from Crohn's, I'm so so sorry. If you ever feel like writing your story I know we'd make use of it and I'd love your testimonial on my web-site! Have you discussed the relief you get with your Doc yet?

Well thank you! Right after i wrote that i went and checked out your website and you have quite the story as well! However, i have not told my doctor about my alternative medication. I've told him that i stopped eating bad food, and his medicine and started to take many viatims, anti oxidents and a well balanced diet and exercise. He was pretty amazed at my accomplishments!

And thank you for the sympothy for my mom. From the time i was 11 till she passed away she would be in the hospital for a month and out again every month. It got so bad that they went to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. There she had 2 feet of her small intestine removed. And was well for about half a year. She then had another surgery at our local hospital and ended up getting a infection which then lead to her death. She was 41 at the time and it was also my first year in high school. Luckly i lived in a small town and everyone was really helpful and understanding.

Sorry about giving the whole story away there are some other parts but i would like to write my story for your website. I hope my story could change a few peoples views on the subject here in the states. I haven't even got to the part where i accredit my smoking to a full scholarship to a local community college!!

Thanks for the kind words and i look foward to hearing from you again. I'll get on that story also!

Matt

I bet a cannabis oily enema would be perfect for this condition. I thought I might've had Chrons for a while, but now I just clean out me bum with me finger and a little water after I wipe. I do smoke too though, maybe it has a tonic effect. Maybe I would get it if I stopped smoking. There's a story about an Indian yogi who pulled out his large intestine and rubbed it clean in a river. Sounds like my kind of God; giving me something to emulate...

Greetings Michelle!

I was wondering what it is about Afghani Bullrider (or even the William's Wonder you used to medicate with) that makes it so great for Crohn's.

I have IBS and have tried many strains to help this (IBS/GERD is one of the 4 conditions I was prescribed cannabis for) and I have yet to find one that helps. I mean, there are several that seem to help me with the pain, but the cramping never seems to let-up.

I have heard that cannabis can help regulate the gastro-intestinal tract by restoring RHYTHMIC contractions, however I haven't had that experience. Does the medicine you use help restore normal function at all, or do you just get relief from the nausea and the pain?

Thanks!

Good Evening WW420! Thank you for your inquiry! So far these 2 particular strains have relieved the pain and nausea, the Afghani Bullrider has been even better than the Williams Wonder, surpassed it big time! I smoke half the amount of AB compared to WW. The AB has made my day to day life (which is very busy and intense at times) run not only smoother mentally but far less painful physically. You have to experiment with different strains, once you find one that works , even half way , stick with it! Crohn's Disease was once my enemy and now after 18 years we have gotten to know each other really well and have to co-operate internally!! You should have a good idea as to what foods to eat and not to eat. Vitamins, marijuana ,healthy diet, love , good sex, etc, all help heal IBS,IBD, and probably many other illness's too! Cannabis at this time has not cured Crohn's but someday it might and in the mean time it is the ONLY WAY to treat such a precarious disease! The cramping may be from the foods you ate,be careful! I still have and will have diarrhea, pain, nausea, etc for the rest of my life, but at least with marijuana!!
