I have to agree John getting to Calgary was no small feat. Neil is very determined to continue on too.

We were at Ellison park (east Calgary) waving our signs and getting lots of horn honks waves and a few people stopped to talk to Neil. Once on the highway Neil had a nice conversation with a young man on a pedal bike that was riding from Vancouver to Monteral just because he wanted to do it.

We brough Neil back to Calgary for the night. We will take him to his finish point from last night and start there today.

Donna as always was very enthusiastic waving signs and yelling slogans and freedomtour.ca
Thanks for the continually support Donna you rock!

Oh and Donna's cookies are so tasty and uplifting I can't wait to dive in the banana bread now.

Keith

John,it seemed to us to be a glitch re the cc clock. That post that said 2:??pm was really the post from 5:30 am and there was no post in the pm. in the pm we were on the road .Keith&debbie have been awesome, they take me back to where I left off, follow behind as I skate till I'm done, then take me back to that point to start again when its time to go again.Im now under 100k from Medicine hat. It's very hot ,not a cloud to be seen
I should be in the Hat on tues. DO NOT HAVE CONTACTS TO HELP me out from there ,so if you have friends in the Hat who would assist please contact me at freedomtour06@hotmail.com
there is also still needs re;sponsorship for skates, accom.escort veh. etc. any recomendations would be
appreciated.
so much more I'd like to say,so little time ,slow typing skills.and I must sleep.follow your passions. Neil

Im now in Medicine Hat,still surviving.certainly the tour is not what was intended, yet.those who said sponsorship and support were hard to get were more right than wrong.however I still believe strongly that the ideals of the freedom tour are important enough to the future of our species and our planet that I must continue if at all possible,to sow these seeds of knowledge, and be in Ottawa for the rememberance day media.I must however admit that the future of this years tour is in doubt.presently I do not have the support to go much further, though I have confidence a way will be found ,and I am working hard to find that way.there is a trail of sown seeds behind me and the seeding of the road ahead is of significant importance, such that I feel the tour should be able to find sponsors.I encourage everyone to "own"this tour as theres and help to make it the success we need it to be.there is much verble support Im finding.at least a couple honks a minute on the hiway.many many wellwishers.my body is holding out well, major leg muscles(some cramps, not too much),thick weathered skin and good lung capacity.Im sporting a full beard now as Guppy says"Im in the play-offs now.I continue to hand out info packets to many places and to many people.I miss all my friends, but my mind is focused on ottawa.please help if you can but no matter what, make sure to have fun and love life. Neil personal freedoms dont come without cost.

A much better last 24hrs in the Hat.I met Teejay and made a trade for a better pair of skates.I also sold apx. $100.00 worth of my stuff.Am now back in the tent,to save money.Did an interview and photo-shoot with the Medicine hat news, had a nice long chat with the mayors assistant, and left her an info packet.Im now at the college, using a computer and building awarness.Im putting on a fair no. of miles around town but I still have not found a driver to get me further east.(Im confident I will)If you know of anyone in Sask. that would like to help please contact me @ freedomtour06@hotmail.com Focus on freedom and let your actions do the talking. thanks Neil

Hi Neil!

We sure enjoyed having you and Jack and Zack visit in Nelson (and Procter). Your presence absolutely made the rally! I hope you make it back in the near future.

I finally got around to posting some snapshots from Zack's video of the rally on Aug. 5. They're here:

I'm also trying to track down some Saskatchewan contacts for you. Local Green Party members can often be quite helpful as well. Just Google for the provincial contacts.

Wishing you luck on the rest of your journey!

Cheers!

Paul

Well the freedom tour litteraly took off over the weekend and Medicine Hat is but a distant memory. While at the collage looking for an escourt east ,I was asked by a local flight instructor named Mike,if Id like to fly to Swift currant. It was to cool an offer to refuse so off we took.Moments after take off he turned the controls over to me (along with a few pointers)I climbed to 5500ft and headed due east.the whole thing was to coool for words.Swiftcurrant airport was hosting drag races and we couldnt land so I agreed to go further east to Regina andso I flew into the night.Im really enjoying the"new"skates I traded for.I put a lot off miles on them in the HAT and continue to do so here in Regina. It is a large spread out city and most of the roads are quite good.Ive decided my time is better spent interacting with people and orgs.in the communities, although I will continue to put some miles on on the hiway.Ive travelled apx.750 miles on the blades so far and would like to put on another 800 to 1000 on my way to Ottawa.Duffy Moon is not in Regina and is unable to help.I am on a wing and a prayer.Im trying to make contacts and get the support needed to move forward.I continue to be optomistic. If anyone knows someone who would like to help it would be greatly appreciated(freedomtour06@hotmail.com)
or leave me a pm.Thanks and all the best to all of the other "agents of change"Bladerunner out.visualize peace
