"...it was unbiased in that we asked everyone we could with no attempt to target"friendly" respondants."

Bias just means "point of view" - it can't be gotten rid of. It comes out in the way you ask the question, what tone of voice you use, what words you use.

If you want to learn more of what is now known as the "myth of objectivity", here are a few websites:

Well this is our last day in Nelson.Yesterday we had a greattalk with Mayor Dooley,we were on our way to City Hall,I saw a man in a suit coming out, asked if he was the Mayor,he said he was.I introduced myself and my mission.I told him I had read in the papers that he knew nothing about cannabis,I said I was there to help to inform him as a public service, because peoples rights and freedoms were involved, and cannabis is a multi-million dollar industry in his town.He seemed like a nice human being and he listened intently to me.It was pretty perfect, though he did not say much.WE are now heading east.Although I wanted in the begining to skate every step, the death of my dog,Miss Murphy Brown, set me back time wise.Ultimately my bottom line is to skate from Vancouver to Ottawa and in B.C.I will go more miles than the distance from Van. to the Alberta boarder(apx.375 miles). Some hills going down are dangerous and some roads too rough.I enjoy the challenge of the up hill climbes(of which Nelson has had the steepest so far)I must sign off now,I will post again as soon as I can.I believe that the respect that comes with freedom can bring us a more peaceful world.thanks Neil

We crossed the boarder into Alta.early wed.,we entered Calgary city limits Thurs eve.As many,if not, more honks of support,a truly warm welcome.I blew a wheel and hit the pavement near Canmore. It was caused by the loss of a threaded nut on the front wheel, which then seized.Makes for good video.Minor damage and road rash to me,but it ruined my hemp pants and was a bit freaky.Ive decided it was a fluke as Ive bladed for years and this is the first time that has happened to me.So Im down to 3 wheels per skate and will try to secure a new pair.Loking forward to meeting people in Calgary.I can be reached at 1-604-710-9011.We intend to visit Stephen Harpers office, the local Legions, hemp friendly places etc.as we continue to bring awarness to issues re;feedom and the intended roles of public servants in this dumb-ocracy.more when time allows.thanks, have as much fun as you can till then(without getting caught.)

Having a great time here in Calgary, althouhg Ive not been contacted by anyone from here yet.(1-604-710-9011)Weve gone to several head shops, was warmly received by Tim and his staff at Hemporium, had a nice visit with the guys at the Calgary compassion club and was invited to a blues jam session at Kings head pub.I was given the mic. and was very well recieved.I got to help out with some backing vocals. Then a pro auctioneer helped raise some money for the tour.Still unsure about how to continue, will need to raise some more money, and I may need a new escourt,if any one in Calgary would like a cool adventure, please call me.(Jack should go back to Vernon, even though his heart wants to keep going)I can pay for gas,and some more. Its Sat. eve.and weve been invited to another musical event tonight. We will keep bringing awarness to our issues, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.May peace and love guide you. Neil

Where are the activists in Calgary?Still trying to find support to keep on going. We are told regularly that"no one cares about activism here.People generaly are in fear here of being swarmed by the police.Seed sellers are hard to find since the bust of the B.C. three. Its a shame that there terrorist tactics against our peacfull people are working. Most of the people we meet know a lot of the truths re;cannabis and there is widespread use and acceptance.I will continue to seek the support needed.Ive also had some problems having my web site updated,Im told it should be soon.I look forward to hearing from anyone who can assist in this important effort.

I have emailed you (cell and toll free numbers were included) and posted in these public forums asking you to let us know when you will arrive in Calgary so I could organize a group to meet you (well over a month ago).
I also wanted to set up some places to visit where we could get you some support.
The second day you are in Calgary I get a PM here on CC. I had just got back in to Calgary from a trip to Peace River and was on my way back out of town until this week.

If you are stuck here in Calgary phone me I have emailed your hotmail account with my cell number and my toll free Canada and the USA phone too.

I will work with you to help you get some support and get you on your way again.

Also I can get your web site updated on a regular basis as well.

Keith Fagin

P.S.
Don't try to contact me here as I prefer not to participate here.

Kanman - Neil calls me every few days and leaves a message, sometimes I get to talk to him directly and when I do I will certainly pass along your contact info.

Neil - my apologies ..the pm I sent ahead didn't get read in time...if you are still there in Calgary then PLEASE get ahold of Keith...he really wants to help!

The Freedom Tour could really use some help folks. Neil has surprised many expectations by getting to Alberta, and now he is on three wheels per skate, and if it wasn't dangerous enough before, this journey is far more dangerous when riding on 75% of your needed wheels.

Contributions to this cause would be greatly appreciated. It doesn't have to be much. A dollar or two, even five, from a decent sized group of decent people could make all the difference in the world to Neil's pilgrimage.

Please send anything you can to help to:

FreedomTour06 c/o P.O. Box 88345, 418 Main St., Vancouver BC, Canada V6A 4A6

peace and freedom for all!

cannagirl
