I agree with you on the media influence for sure. Yes there have been problems since the genesis of the program,I'm a member or stakeholder. I don't call the call center I contact those in V.Lashers office or V.Lasher personally. You still don't get any answers to email inquiries or returned phone calls...nadda. This is not how it was 4 months ago,we're getting nothing now. Time will tell I guess...realist,pessemist...sometimes the're the same.

Hey sweetie, you sound like someone else I know with questioning the Program that we are involved in...
This is not good news, but I just can't see Canada jumping on board with Australia regarding their hysterical War on Drugs.
We are making huge headway with our Medical Marijuana Program here in Canada. It is a damn site better than NOTHING at all.
And... We need all of the positive vibes we can get!
I will be involved in some legal dealings with Health Canada again later this year, after being approached by a well known Toronto Lawyer a few months ago to front this most recent Legal Action.
We are not at all worried that the Program won't exist soon.
We are more concerned that the Government is NOT listening to what we are asking them for, where certain restrictions are concerned. They have been previously ordered to comply and yes, are still, somewhat resistant.
The Government just don't seem to want to listen - so we will MAKE them listen via the Courts once again.
With this Program, our Lawsuit and our newly formed minority Government, we are in for a very slick, very positive ride on this upside down roller coaster....
Hang on.
We're shooting for the MOON!
Love and a squish,
Alison

Heya..
It's Mike Rann not Rick Rann and he's trying to turn South Australia (or more specifically the capital Adelaide) in to retirement village!

Thought I might just clear this one up a bit. I live in South Australia and as is always with this state, things aren't always as they seem.
The items "banned" include HPS lamps and Metal Halide lamps greater than 250 Watts, carbon filter's, heat lamps and some other items mostly to do with drug laboratory equipment. The catch is they aren't banned outright, only when used for illegal purposes. Sounds strange I know but basically if you buy a 600W or 1000W HPS lamp and use it to grow tomato's or orchids, thats perfectly legal but If your caught growing cannabis with it thats a $2000 fine and the possibility of 2 years behind bars for the use of the banned/restricted equipment alone. That is on top of and separate to the indoor cultivation charge which is also a criminal charge in itself. If you grow outdoors, you get an on the spot fine "expiation notice" as outdoor cultivation of 1 plant and possession/use is actually decriminalized in South Australia. A decade ago, you could cultivate 10 plants per adult, indoor or out for $150 on the spot fine. That all changed in 2001. As you can see, the government is on an illogical witch hunt on indoor growers, they claim its more potent. Some of the most potent bud I've ever had the pleasure of smoking was grown outdoors under the sun. Its a pretty confusing place for a pot head at the moment. But you can still buy all the best hydroponic equipment, Adelaide still has more Hydroponic retailers than any other city in Australia, and Adelaide is not a big city. The city is also crawling with growers (myself included) and few are taking notice of the new laws, just becoming more secretive in their endevours.
Just thought I'd clear all that up :toke:
