so does this new bill mean that bc hydro will be giving information to the police if there is a high amount of electricity being used? or does it mean they are allowed to give the information if the police ask for it?
and it says on the bill under notice of inspection 19.3 they will give you a written notice saying they are going to inspect your property and you have two days to reply with a time for the inspection?
so if they did come by you would have a couple days to take down the op?
thanks

The new law means that BC Hydro must give out residential electicity use records to any municipality that requests them. The municipality can then give those records to local police. BC Hydro doesn't check or monitor usage rates themselves.

Yes that is the idea. They want the grower to pull out and move on. Apparently the effort of charging the grower and then going to court etc, isn't worth it when they know the grower only gets a fine in the end. So they are resorting to unconstitutional and extra-legal methods to simply harass growers. It's a pointless and ineffective technique.

Well i've written Krog and Simpson and hope to get to writing a few more this week. for those who live near the members supporting this bill you should go to their office and find out when the next riding association meeting is so you can bring up their failure to support the parties declared position and counter their lies and misconceptions regaurding marijuana. Letters are fine and well but they require the support of those who actually attend the riding meetings for their jobs. My letter to Shane Simpson In a letter regaurding The privacy violating bill 25 you said; "Grow ops, often located in residential neighbourhoods, cause home explosions and fires." I would very much appreciate knowing where you found this information. My own research on the subject has not found a single fire or explosion caused by a Marijuana growing operation anywhere in Canada, ever. Since Meth labs don't require excess use of electricity they clearly will not be affected by this law. So I would very much like to know why you oppose your own parties policy on marijuana and the senates reports which clearly show that prohibition efforts hurt our communities far more than marijuana does? I look forward to your reply with these statistics, and your reasoning behind supporting the loss of our rights. I am currently compiling a list of NDP MLA's who supported this bill in order to attend their riding association meetings and point out the discontinuity between them and the party membership and the public in general. I ask that you please stop acting in a manner proven, through multiple senatorial investigations, to harm our communities and against the wishes of the Majority of Canadians, the overwhelming majority of British Columbians and your own party.
