I change out the water every day, so chunks don't get a chance to build up. A hot water cleaning every other week alternating with an ISO & salt cleaning keeps things pretty nice. _________________________ Eat your gold. If prohibition works, we should do it to alcohol. MadSmokerModa Newbie Registered: 04/16/06 Posts: 41 Loc: Back woods of Maine.	I use carb and choke cleaner, it blasts out the tar and you can pick up a can at any auto parts store for about $3.00. PsYkO420 Stoner Registered: 06/27/05 Posts: 423 Loc: Mexico	I applied the 420 formula today for the first time on my glass spoon and mini bubbler and it worked like a charm, Ima get my hands on some Iso and salt anyway for the bongs since I can see that the lil bottle of 420 would only clean them perhaps twice each peace _________________________ Life is a sparkle of light in an endless night...

When I'm cleaning daily I usally use ISO and salt on the bong and save the Formula 420 for those backed up jobs. Not sure why it is so much better then all the rest, including ISO/salt, but the stuff has always come through on the pieces that nothing else could scrub completely clean. I definitely recommend it for a weekly/monthly cleaning on any piece that has one or more percs since those pieces are so much harder to keep clean.

I just spray it and use a pipe cleaner, though it's pretty strong stuff and if you have any cuts on your hands then it stings worse than a paper cut.

Epsom salt works well but you can also use sea salt, kosher salt or just regular rock salt. Some people have suggested using rice also but I find that the abrasive texture of the salt cleans much better then a polished grain of rice. BTW, if you clean daily, the chore of cleaning becomes much easier and as quick as a couple of shakes and a good rinse.

But just a few days ago I caved and bought some Orange Chronic, I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail. I like Iso and Salt, but I'm too much a klutz and it makes a huge mess everytime I use it. _________________________

Clean with rubing alcohol. Place now used alcohol under a lamp, let it evaporate.
