The type of food and drink you choose will depend on the sort of people you expect to attract. Some people just want a choice of toasties, chocolate and coke. Others want a whole gastro-pub type thing. If start-up costs are limited just go for the basic munchie food (try and remember what makes you salivate and ask your friends what they like) and once you're open ask your customers what else they would like to see.
Make the place as comfortable as possible and everything else (lighting, music etc) will flow from there.

Is this kinda smoking establishement even legal with the current smoking laws in effect on buildings, doorways etc ?

i would love to open one here in ny ..not sure that leo would let me ..but if the laws change as we are hoping to soon..it maybe opening sooner then later ..i think this was a great article and beleave you could use these same kind of ideas in opening any business not just a cafe ..thanks for the great info and like i said i hope you all will visit me when the laws change and i open the sticky bud cafe ...haha...

I remember hearing of a Cannabis Café that opened in Montreal a while back, called Chez Mari-Jane, if im not mistaken, it was located on Rachel St. What ever happened to this place? I know it was around shortly made some noise in the news, then i've heard nothing about it in years.
Does it still exist? If not, what happened?

if with the current laws regarding cigs this can be done b/c your only allowing cannabis. no blunt wraps. or dirty joints.
