I'm interested in some tobacco seeds. Grow some local competition for the blunt wraps. Getting any Cameroon seed?

Our starting catalog will probably not be including cameroon tobacco seed. We will have a few different tobacco strains to start with though.

You are aware it is against the law to grow tobacco without a license, right?

I'm not sure about US law, but it is legal to grow some tobacco for 'personal' use in Canada. However, the legality of the seed is not something I am overly concerned about.

We'll be selling low-THC industrial hemp seed, opium poppy seed, tobacco seed, marijuana seeds, and seeds from other restricted or banned plants. I am hoping to be able to offer coca seeds too.

I haven't firmed up our shipping policy, but I'm not opposed to sending some restricted seeds across borders. I don't think we'll be shipping marijuana seeds to the US, but we might ship low-THC hemp seeds and tobacco seeds there. Do you think they'd try to extradite me for that?

I wouldn't be at all suprised... Probably try to pinch you under the same law as the ban against transporting fruits and vegetables by plane.

Can't wait to see your seed list Dana. Good luck

Hi Dana,
I haven't asked you too many questions over the years but I didn't sleep most of the night because I kept asking myself 'why and what is his rational.' I just don't get it, Dana. Perhaps this has all been discussed in a prior thread and you can point me there. What is the logic and rational behind selling opium poppy seeds? How is it a good thing? I'm pretty sure I won't be the last person to ask that question. One of my concerns is that the Tong and the Triads might not understand and might actually see this as a threat down the road. That is I don't think they allow competition. With respect, Spanner.

You might want to catch Marc's views on the illegal Up In Smoke raid. I think this will provide your answer re. Dana's brave stance with a new seed outlet.

Thanks. I read those views just now, Glebe. I don't see the answer.Perhaps the trees are too close for me to see the forest. It's not the new seed outlet I don't understand it's the opium seeds.

I have a lot of concerns about the potential of your selling opium poppy seeds. You are the Grand Poopah. You carry a lot of weight and influence. Many people look to you for leadership. Other seed sellers watch you. I understand that both cannabis and opium are plants and they come from seeds but the similarity ends there.

I can not imagine for an instant that Her Majestys' Horsemen are going to allow the retailing of opium products for more than 3 minutes. The newspapers and journalists will rip us to shreds. I see how it could confuse current issues. I can't see Johny Q Public applauding the retailing of opium seeds. The detractors of cannabis usage will jump all over this and make great noise. How will the defenders of cannabis be able to respond to this behaviour?

I see a lot of young people who think they are tough setting up grow rooms with the poppy. It's one thing to have a decorative one in the backyard it's another to have grow rooms devoted to it. I know it grows in a PH of 6.0 quite well. This opium trade is one of the toughest trades in the world. What you could be doing if you sell those seeds is offering differential illegitimate opportunity to Canadians here. The Asian groups are used to controling this activity and both the Mafia and the Hells are scared of them. I'm scared of all three myself. Do we really want to have opium being produced just because it is possible to do so?

This means one more guy (you) will face charges, tie up money, time and activists for what? For the selling of opium seeds? I don't understand how it is a good thing. I see the retailing of opium seeds as one of the final coffin nails in this movement. I see it as finishing Marc and the BC3 off. I'm alarmed by this, Dana. Help me understand.
