This week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast come live from the second annual DopeCave Cup, the only growers' and breeders' cup on British soil, where seven of the finest strains from around the United Kingdom have been gathered under one roof to undergo the judgement of the esteemed panel of judges. After introducing the strains which are competing for the grand prize of a brand new Plenty vaporizer, worth £200, as well as a Premium membership of NORML-UK, and a goodie bag from Sweet-Seeds, the Dopefiend talks to the panel of judges, made up of Clark French, medical cannabis user and representative of the United Kingdom Cannabis Social Club movement; Sanj Chowdhary, Executive Director of NORML-UK, and Vince Noir Rocknroll Star, DopeTriber extraordinaire and resident horticultural expert at www.thegrowreport.com. The Judging begins in earnest, with joints and vapor hits soon filling the venue with incredible aromas, and the Dopefiend seeks the opinions of his glamorous assistant in organising the cup, Esse B, before heading into the commentary box and talking to the commentary team of Scooby Snakks and the Gremlin of Ganja about the sight before their hungry stoner eyes. After some explanation from Clark about why immuno-suppressant medication forces him to take the first hits on every joint, and to have his own Plenty mouthpiece for the purposes of judging, as the judging continues, and the Dopefiend keeps up with the opinions as they're formed, regularly keeping up with the commentators, as well as the one or two DopeTriber stowaways who have sneaked into the venue to watch the proceedings, such as Nez, and the newly married Max and Frankie Freakout. After a musical interlude from DopeTribe minstrel Son of Gonzo, the judging continues, including some controversy as the panel deliver their verdicts on a poorly-trimmed but great-tasting entry, and the increasing stonedness of the judges threatens to challenge their capacity for coherent speech, as the Dopefiend and Esse B ensure they don't miss out on some tastes of the world-class weed on offer by inserting themselves at the top of the rotation for the last couple of strains. After some discussion about how the incredibly high standard of growing and breeding in the United Kingdom today, the judges start a tough deliberation process which eventually results in the winner being chosen.
