i fully agree with caustic

the only time ive given my plants a water cure is when they had a partial outbreak of the spidermites. only half of the plant was contaminated, so i had a good comparison between the regular dried and cured stuff and the water cured batch.

through the vaporizer, there was very little, if any noticeable difference in taste. the smell tho was greatly lessened in the water cured stuff, it was an undeniably smooth hit and it had a brownish grey hue to it that made it look considerably less appealing. picking up a nug of the same size you could feel how much lighter the wc was. due to some of the outer trichs having come off during the water cure process, id have to say that the potency was only very slightly less. break open a nug of each batch, and aside from the color, youre looking at exactly the same picture. itd be like comparing your average nug that is in a plastic baggy to its sister nug that has never been outside a jar.

the water cure will also give the nugs a denser finish.

It sounds great n all, but i vaporise most of my bud anyway, so what is in it doesn't effect me in that manner. I will try it out at some point though, maybe when i grow in the spring.

I did a water cure to some sandy buds.

Works beautifully as a "bath" to clean out foreign material.

I like the idea of a smoother smoke, but I just love the taste of good, dank weed too much to start doing it on a regular basis. Although, even though it has been said that water curing your buds after they've already been cured, i.e bought buds, I think water curing some buds that are on the old side, or just flat out taste like butt, might be a good alternative to smoking nasty weed.

And I've seen a few posts in this thread where people have said if they get moldish weed it goes to the trash, but I dont have that kind of money, and since I live in OK its hard enough to find a dealer anyway, I'd do whatever I gotta do to make the bud I do come by, smokable.

I have put taco shell in with the bud to make it a little moist without the mold worry, no yeast in the taco shell. Smoking through water helps, but not a substitute for good fresh herb.

I just gave this a try with 1/4 lb of wet budz from my purple kush. They were all the sucker budz from down under on one of the plants. Anywise, wow, great shit. They stunk like sewage for the first 3 days and then mellowed out. The budz don't look really appetizing but the smoke is outrageously great and choke a mother fucker all the way up.
