For a more dramatic effect , some peppermint essential oil on a tissue , and then in the jar , can be almost overpowering!

Is that the same as the normal cinnamon and peppermint oil that you can buy in your local grocery store, or where would I need to go? Def an experiment I want to try. We used to soak toothpics in cinnamon oil and suck on them all day during school for the flavor many years ago.

i noticed once (accidentally) that if you stick some buds in a bag, then put the bag in an almost empty jar of tiger balm, the bud has a hardcore menthol taste when it is smoked. overnight will suffice.

Damn, I was just thinking of that a couple days ago. I was using some tiger balm for a back-ache. I know it has 11% camphor and 11% menthol. That's pretty concentrated!

Was it like smoking a menthol cig ?

The oils you get in a supermarket are of extremely poor quality. Try a health food store or go online. If it's going to be something your smoking...buy the best as they're really not that much more expensive. A small bottle will last for a looong time. Liberty Natural Products is a good online source but there are tons of others.

Exactly. Always buy the highest quality. It may be 30-100 dollars per fluid ounce (or more), but if it's high quality, you only need a drop or two at a time, and it will last for a looooooong time.

yeah, like an ultra-menthol cigarette.

I wonder if water-curing would be a viable option for bud gone to mold. Aren't dangerous mold spores made harmless by water? I heard something like that by the people selling those water hash extraction bags.

HA! forget about it. That's a crock of bull if I ever heard it.

What they probably meant was; Spraying moldy objects with water will reduce airborn pathogens and dust when you go to remove it (otherwise, consequently throwing millions of spores into the air)

Water curing is not an attractive option for dealing with moldy buds. Spores can prolly be disabled by putting them through an autoclave which would destroy any positive aspects of the buds. Anybody selling bags stating it's a 'cure' for moldy material is misleading you. If you took moldy material and ran it through a water extraction process you'd definitely reduce the spore count and mold toxins but due to the water retention of the finished material the mold can easily and quickly grow again. I've seen water extracted hash get all fuzzy with mold...which was undoubtedly from spores present in the starting material. Do an extra thorough washing and dry quickly and you might consider smoking it yourself if you were hard up for a stone but would you pass that around to friends ?

Anytime I get moldy stuff it gets trashed immediately without hesitation .
