Thats right, you barely need anything to make it, and assuming you don't have any of the materials, you could get them all for under $1. This bong f**ks people up hardcore cause of it's simple, but efficient design. Try it, post your pics, thoughts, ideas, and or improvements.

Materials:
1 - 710ml Pop Bottle (Recomended: 710ml)
1 - 4" Brass Tube w/threaded outside (Any metal tube/stem will do, just make sure it's about as wide as a cigarette)
1 - Electical Tape (Used to make seal the stem, you could use silicone too)
1 - Lighter (Used to make hole in bottle for stem)

Bong Construction: NOTE: The "Popper" Bong does not have a conventional carb, so don't make one. If you accidentally did or it's allready there, just tape it up. Also, the "Popper" Bong has no bowl, so don't use one just cause you have one lying around. Altering the design with a carb and bowl will just mess it up.

Step 1: Remove lid and label from pop bottle.
Step 2: Make a hole about 1/3 up the bottle. The hole should be a tiny bit smaller than your stem to make a good seal.
Step 3: There are a bunch of ways you can do this, here are two easy ways. I prefer to use the first one because of it's effectiveness and ease.
METHOD#1 - To seal the stem using electrical tape, wrap the tape around the stem once, make sure to wrap the tape on the part of the stem that will be resting on the hole. Duh.
METHOD#2 - Use Silicone to seal the stem, just put some silicone around the hole before putting the stem in.
Step 4: If you havent allready done so, force the stem in through the hole at a 45* angle so that the bottom of the stem will be beneath the water line when the bong is filled.
Step 5: Test that it's a perfect seal by covering up the top end of the stem and blowing into the bong, if no air leakes, then your good to go. NOTE: It doesnt NEED to be a perfect seal, it will only make it work much beter.

How it Works:
When you are inhaling and burning away at the weed it will start to fall through the stem and into the water. By this time the bottle should be nicley full of smoke. When you are ready to inhale the smoke, suck really hard, and if you packed it properly, the weed will be sucked through the stem and into the water, this acts as a carb and is very effective. You need to pack the popper before every hoot.

Packing the "Popper": If you've never done this before then it's going to sound really complicated and hard, but it's really easy. Packing the popper is the hardest part about learning to smoke out of them. After that it's smoothe sailing. Poppers need to be packed after every hit, but they can get you higher than any other bong I've smoked out of.

The Rollie Method: Use this way if you don't like tobacco, or wasting weed.
Get a rollie, rip it in half, roll one half of the rollie up in a little ball that will fit nicley into the stem. Put the bit of rollie into the stem then pack some ground up weed on top of it. The rollie is used so that you don't waste any weed by sucking it through the stem into the water. It might take some time to get used to how much rollie and weed to use, but I say this. Use 1/3 Rollie and 2/3 Weed. Rollie is not nesecarry but you'll waste bud if you don't use it. And your done, just make sure it's not in there too tight or it might not pop.

The Tobacco Method: Some like it, some dont.
Get a cigarette and rip off a bit of the end (Approx 3mm of the cigarette). Fold it/Roll it into a ball, whatever, just make sure it gets into the stem paper facing down into the stem. Then pack some ground up weed on top of it. Once again, the amount of tobacco/weed you use is all about personal preferance. I prefer 50/50 with the tobacco method. And your done, just make sure it's not in there too tight or it might not pop. Some people love this way, others hate it, it's all preferance.

Hitting the "Popper":
Make sure there is water in the popper. Put your mouth on the top of the bottle and put the flame on where you put the weed and suck. Just keep sucking until you see the weed start to fall through stem. When you see the weed start to fall through, suck and inhale really hard. If you packed it properly, the weed and tobacco/rollie will get sucked into the water in the bong and all the smoke will shoot into your lungs. It should make a sound that resembles a 'pop' too, hence the name. Make sure to take the whole chamber.

Tips to have you hitting poppers like a pro:
- As a rule of thumb, the flame should be kept burning the weed throughout the whole hoot. It just works that way.
- If you dont think the bong will "pop" cause it wasnt packed right, I recommend packing a new one...even if your half way through. Or you can try and make it pop, but you'll probably end up coughing lots.


All in all, I love these things. Ever since I was introduced to them by a co-worker it's all iv'e hit mainly. I can construct one of these and pack it and smoke it in under 5 mins for under $1.00. And when it comes time to make a new one cause the bottles getting to groose, just take out the stem and use it for a brand new one. These have gotten me more stoned than any other 3ft bong I have ever smoked out of. Hows that for efficienct. I'll get pictures up soon...

i personally think it is much more worth it to go to a store and buy a bill piece for 5$ and use the bill instead of the stem or whatever

You can buy a nice glass bong for 60 bucks, even less if you bargin shop. Best investment you will ever make.

I agree pop bottle bongs are fun, but they are nothing new. I have made many and i find that they dont work THAT good. At least if you re-use the slide make it better.

I once posted my " D.A.R.E." water bottle Bong :> got quite a bit of good input on that one, kinda ironic.

No it's not an insane bong. It's what you do when your 13 and haven't gotten high before so you and your friends think long and hard how you can smoke weed.

I like my setup. Works better than bottles. I just used and old cheep mini bong I had, and one of those metal tubes from cheap bongs with the screw off bowls. Just put a rubber stopper ring on the metal tube. Then it fits perfectly in the slider. I find it hs way more a a better flow than home made ones
