It would be helpful that when its recommended that people buy more products from the CC store, that you actually deliver the goods. I ordered a t-shirt Aug. 1 for my brother-in-laws birthday and never received it. I emailed, got a reply that they were late sending stuff out (understandable) but mine was sent Sept 1, well, never got it. And all other correspondence has gone unanswered. Consider it another donation, my final one.

We had to let go of a lot of staff, and the shipping and subscription staff... now our accountant, and Marc and I, have to try and get it done ourselves, on top of everything we already do.

It is not bafffling at all. I hear it all the time! Web designers/graphic artists know that they have the knowledge(most not so much) and you don't so they can do/charge whatever they want.

They think they are "artistic" so any kind of agreements or deadlines do not apply if...

The few good ones overbook themselves so are sometimes late.

On the website - I spoke with Kirk @ BCMP yesterday and he explained there were problems satisfying the credit card people about their security concerns. They were told that if the security issues were not resolved to their satisfaction BCMP would risk losing their credit card account so the store project was put on hold. I'm not exactly sure what the "security" issues are, but that appears to be the problem, not the actual store code.

I thought the BCMP store was done through PayPal. They have their own security measures. If the BCMP had a merchant account at a bank then they could accept credit cards without PayPal. Who is complaining about security?

Here's what we have:

Cannabis Culture Online Store - working fine, always has. Credit card payments acceptable. Only CC stuff "allowed" to be sold, according to credit card payment agreement.

BC Marijuana Party (the political party) - PayPal, for donations. No products for sale.

BC Marijuana Party Bookstore - nothing finalized yet. Credit Card account not approved, pending finicky details that I can't understand or explain.
