I don't want to change this thread from a Fill the Hill thread into another Cannasat and GW/Bayer thread. And I don't want to start another boring argument thread with you David. It would just alienate support for Fill the Hill.

Quote:

They [Cannasat] did join with (or "aggree with") PPS to threaten to sue Philippe Lucas of Canadians for Safe Access for publishing research into the Heavy metal, bacterial, cannabinoid and irradiated qualities of the PPS weed:

Cannasat is a minority owner of PPS. So Cannasat can not control what PPS does, or what PPS lawyers do. Where does Cannasat say that they agree with these PPS threats to sue?

And Canadians for Safe Access have nothing to fear if they can back up their claims with facts. If they exaggerated their claims, then they are in trouble, and PPS has a right to threaten a libel or slander lawsuit.

The truth has nothing to fear. If Cannasat turns to the dark side of the force, then I also will expose it.

There are many documented problems with PPS cannabis. There is no need to exaggerate.

There is no need to pile on Jody Pressman either. Or to exaggerate anything. He has done many good things, and I enjoyed reading his descriptions of what was going on in Parliament meetings. I am sure he still has friends, and so attacking him unmercifully without also praising him will only alienate support for Fill the Hill.

I edited this message and toned it down a lot. I ask the moderators to keep this thread on topic for the sake of Fill the Hill, and coalition building.

I have noticed David that you no longer directly assassinate and libel the character of luminaries like Alan Young, Hilary Black, and Alison Myrden. Because Marc Emery threatened to ban you from the forums for doing so. Now you just suggest things without proof.

I just found out I was booked off the weekend of fill the hill, so I started arranging for people to come up with me, this morning I looked at www.fillthehill.ca and there is a big red CANCELLED across the logos and a statement saying "June 11, 2005 - Fill The Hill 2005 has been cancelled."
can anyone confirm or deny this? why would it be cancelled?
I sure hope this is a joke or something!
thanx in advance for any info
C

Some good news. When I do a search of Google for "Fill the Hill" (use the quotes to narrow the search results) I come up with some positive results for 2005. So people don't just see the "cancelled" title on the old Fill the Hill website.

There is a marijuana.com thread that shows up near the top with this title:

Marijuana.Com Discussion Community - Fill the Hill 2005! THC Rally!
http://www.marijuana.com/420/showthread.php?t=38237

Zilos posted the updated flyer in the thread. Good job, Zilos!

Again, the new Fill the Hill 2005 website is:
http://www.fillthehillrally.ca

And here is the Zilos website:
http://www.iamcannabian.com

By the way, I figured out the problem on my website with some of the gif banners not showing up.

I know Eco2man, that's my post on that forum. I've been going crazy posting the link hoping that it'll pop up in google. It's working. I did a search on these forums and someone posted a wicked list of of other pot forums, which I posted the link on everyone.
I was reading about how to get listed and read that google goes by link popularity, so I just posted links everywhere.
Every once and a while I check on them to see whether someone found Jodies site and thinks it's cancelled. So far only one guy on Yahooka posted that he thought it was cancelled, I guess he did a search and I posted that he visited the wrong site anyway here it is:
Yahooka conversation on fill the hill
So far though no one else has posted that they think it's cancelled. But I'm watching out.

"I don't want to change this thread from a Fill the Hill thread into another Cannasat and GW/Bayer thread."

Then you shouldn't have brought it up. I'm not going to let you tell tall tales about Cannasat in this or any other thread.

"And I don't want to start another boring argument thread with you David. It would just alienate support for Fill the Hill."

Too late. And besides, this issue is more important than "Fill The Hill" - all the clubs in Canada may get shut down over it - if activists play it the wrong way.

"Cannasat is a minority owner of PPS. So Cannasat can not control what PPS does, or what PPS lawyers do. Where does Cannasat say that they agree with these PPS threats to sue?"

Cannasat contacted Philippe a few days after PPS did to echo their sentiments. Ask Philippe if you don't believe me.

"And Canadians for Safe Access have nothing to fear if they can back up their claims with facts."

I guess you've never heard of a SLAPP suit before. Here, let me inform you how corporations work ... they care very little about "facts":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_lawsuit_against_public_participation

"If they exaggerated their claims, then they are in trouble, and PPS has a right to threaten a libel or slander lawsuit."

They didn't exaggerate. Funny how you give the corporations the benifit of the doubt without bothering to read the research.

"The truth has nothing to fear. If Cannasat turns to the dark side of the force, then I also will expose it."

They already have. How many activists do they have to threaten to sue before you notice it. If CSA was wrong, they could have made public the information that proves CSA was wrong. No lawsuit is required. So far, the only people that have made their information public is CSA.

"There are many documented problems with PPS cannabis. There is no need to exaggerate."

Point out one exaggeration.

"There is no need to pile on Jody Pressman either."

I think the "proprietary" and "intellectual property rights" mentality should be piled on at every opportunity.

"Or to exaggerate anything."

Where do I exaggerate? You sure like to throw that word around without examples.

"He has done many good things"

On his own or with Marc's money?

"..., and I enjoyed reading his descriptions of what was going on in Parliament meetings. I am sure he still has friends, and so attacking him unmercifully without also praising him will only alienate support for Fill the Hill."

I rather doubt it.

"I edited this message and toned it down a lot."

It doesn't show.

"I ask the moderators to keep this thread on topic for the sake of Fill the Hill, and coalition building."

Pritty hipocritical, bringing in Cannasat and then telling others they can't comment. Then you go on and on and on about how CSA is exaggerating - providing no examples - and then AGAIN saying how other people shouldn't respond to you.

This is a DISCUSSION FORUM. This is for two-way communication. If you want to lecture us, make a show for Pot TV.

"I have noticed David that you no longer directly assassinate and libel the character of luminaries like Alan Young, Hilary Black, and Alison Myrden."

I tell the truth and expose lies, period. I don't bring up the topic myself unless there's new news, but if anyone starts calling Cannasat an ethical operation I feel compelled to remind them of the recent history.

"Because Marc Emery threatened to ban you from the forums for doing so. Now you just suggest things without proof."

Marc would be very foolish to ban me over something so obviously in my mandate as a cannabis activist - it would only draw more attention to the issue - something a Cannasat supporter wouldn't want.

You keep hyping Cannasat, and I'll keep providing the facts - with or without Marc's blessing.

I love your posts! I admire your integrity, even when your opinion is unpopular. You don't back down, you stand your ground and if they stand you up at the gates of hell you WONT BACK DOWN...wait that's a song isn't it?
Anyway I highly doubt you can ban a person for having an opinion and standing by it.
Eco2man, you did bring it up. Jody and then cannaset and wishing Jody had the same ethics as cannaset. I read the original post I think.
Jody Pressman can kiss my ass. He's a pathetic sad sad little man. How can you say we shouldn't be hard on him, I wrote him two emails asking nicely to remove that CANCELLED banner accross his page.
What he's doing is sabotoging the THC rally which is important for our cause, nothing he's done in the past makes up for the shit he's pulling now, and I only know about the norml study and the Fill the Hill deal, so who knows what else the little weasle has done.
Yup he can kiss my ass, I don't think people are hard enough on him.

With all the computer savvy we have here on the forums, can't someone hack into Judy, woops, Jodies self proclaimed site and take it over? He's evidently not planning on growing up any time soon.

Those forcasts are never right. How do they know what it's going to be like weatherwise in a week, they can't even get the four day forcast right. Don't worry it'll be nice, if not we'll bring our umbrellas. I'm hoping for sun with cloudy breaks and small scattered showers to cool us off if neccessary.

Awesome work on the forums Smartypants! I was going to try to help do the rounds of the message boards but I wasn't able to. Glad you were on top of it!
