We started a bit late, there was no shade, it was hotter than the room

Dom arrived at 1:20, so we jumped right into it.
People talked, BC buddy made an appearance and had his photo taken with
cops.
Then Malmo took the stage. And talked, as he is prone to on such
occasions....
Then Malmo took out what looked like about an ounce of green powder in a
glass container. He then proceeded to hand out some of this green
powder, and fill every pipe that was presented him....
I had told him to behave, but I expected something like that....
The police came up to Tim Meehan and wagged fingers. Allison called Alan
Young, and for a little while it looked like they were going to arrest
Emery and or Malmo...... they say the permit only goes to 4:00, not
4:20.....
I picked up here:
There seemed to be a miscommunication over when the event was going to
end. The permit I booked was until 5pm -- they thought it was until 4.
They made us shut the sound and PA down at 4pm. Earlier, they were
moving in on Marco until Alison was speaking and mentioned that he might
be arrested. They backed off.
They were deliberately trying to provoke a confrontation with me, but
while the protest ended at 4pm, I simply shut the sound off when ordered
to. They were upset after DML's activities but I simply told them "It's
David Malmo-Levine -- come on! You know who he is! You think I can
control him, or would want to?!?"
The circle in front of the Parliament Hill steps then became a sit-in
after the sound was ordered off -- and you don't need a permit for that!
We were there until after 4:20. A good day, very hot, but the speeches
were great! About 800 at it's peak I would say. And no arrests, as far
as I know...but it seems some of them were itching for heads to crack.
