I hope it is possible to keep Fill the Hill as the event's name, for all the reasons already mentioned. Is this just totally out of the realm of possibility?

We can't use "Fill The Hill" because of legal problems.

The event is officially called THC: Truth, Hope and Compassion.

Who is the "legal problem"?

Why are they putting their ego above what is best for cannabis reform? It takes a lot of effort to get a website up and running, logos and banners created, brand-name recognition built up, webmasters and artists to put forth their efforts, etc., etc..

Unless "Fill the Hill" is copyrighted or trademarked there is no legal problem. Don't be bluffed.

In fact, I doubt that anyone can "own" the name "Fill the Hill" without some serious legal effort.

And to just arbitrarily go and change the name to THC is not right either. For the above-mentioned reasons. Bulldozing through a name change (if that is what is occuring) is not exactly a way to get people to cooperate down the line.

It needs to be something like 'Parliament Hill Gathering' or something like that. THC tells me nothing about the event, which is a problem. Making it alot harder to promote.

Some Quick Idea's:
1. 'Smoke out the Hill'
2. 'Parliament Smokeout 2005'

... I'll try and think up some more when I'm actually awake.
