  1. I would suggest a human rights claim. Also I assume doctors visits are of no direct cost to you or your companions? At what point would a determined waste of provincial health care resources be deemed significant? I bet a paper would be interested once they pick up the massive waste of money that could incur.
  2. Welcome to the New Canada, where physicians are bought an paid for by the big LP's. The era of "Cannabis Clinics" where doctors shill expensive crappy prescriptions that they helpfully (and insistently) register you for in their office. An office that been paid for under the guise of a "research grant", where the doctors get their kickbacks for every patient they register. They threaten to remove patients from the program if they choose another producer. Why do these doctors constantly deny production licenses when the alternative is forcing people to live in poverty to afford their medicine? Is that ethical.....? Doctors are accountable to their provincial college. Here are some federal ethics principals that may apply, if your doctor is taking advantage of you. Fundamental Responsibilities CMA code of ethics. 5. Practise the art and science of medicine competently, with integrity and without impairment. 7. Resist any influence or interference that could undermine your professional integrity. 9. Refuse to participate in or support practices that violate basic human rights. 11. Recognize and disclose conflicts of interest that arise in the course of your professional duties and activities, and resolve them in the best interest of patients. 12. Inform your patient when your personal values would influence the recommendation or practice of any medical procedure that the patient needs or wants. 13. Do not exploit patients for personal advantage. 43. Recognize the responsibility of physicians to promote equitable access to health care resources. 50. Avoid promoting, as a member of the medical profession, any service (except your own) or product for personal gain.
